Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Thooval ("the App"), a free and open-source macOS blogging application maintained by Akhil K Thomas and community contributors. By downloading, using, or contributing to the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

Thooval and its source code are available at github.com/Thooval/thooval-macos. You may use, inspect, modify, and distribute the App subject to the open-source license and notices published in the repository. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses.

2. Ownership of Your Content

All content you create using Thooval including blog posts, text, and images remains entirely yours. We make no claim over your writing or files. The App stores all content locally on your device and we have no access to it.

3. GitHub Integration

Thooval uses your GitHub personal access token to publish content to a GitHub repository of your choice. Your token is stored locally on your device. We do not store, transmit, or have access to your GitHub credentials or repository content.

Use of GitHub and GitHub Pages is subject to GitHub's Terms of Service.

4. No Warranty

Thooval is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. Use of the App is at your own risk.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or content.

6. Updates

Updates may be released by the maintainers and community from time to time. Published releases are available free of charge, and the App may also be built from source.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
